Introduction:

   A kind of medium density fiberboard (wood-based panel). In China, medium density fiberboard is mainly made of agricultural residues or secondary fuelwood, and its main components are wood fiber, resin glue, etc. After hot grinding, drying, sizing, paving, hot pressing, post-treatment and sanding, it is an environment-friendly substitute for furniture and building materials to replace logs. Its main advantages are low price, easy processing, uniform material, good physical performance, and waterproof and moisture-proof after adding paraffin and other items. 

    Its surface is often pasted with melamine paper or wood veneer. Advantages: excellent physical performance, uniform material, no dehydration problem, no deformation due to moisture; The melamine facing on the surface is moisture-proof, anti-corrosion, wear-resistant, high temperature resistant, and does not require post treatment, and has low formaldehyde content.

   The density of medium density board is between that of high density board and that of low density board, which is generally 440~880kg/m³.

   The common specification is 2440mm * 1220mm, and the thickness is 3mm, 5mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 25mm, etc. You can also customize other special specifications, thickness of MDF.

Characteristics of MDF:

1. The material is uniform, the board structure is dense, the surface is smooth and smooth, not easy to deform, the performance is stable, the edges are smooth and delicate, not easy to collapse and delamination; It is non-toxic, tasteless, radiation free and has good air permeability;

2. Good thermal insulation performance, non aging and strong adhesion;

3. The static bending strength, tensile strength, water content, nail holding force, water absorption expansion rate, formaldehyde content and other indicators are superior to GB/T11718-1999 and GBl8580-2001 national standards (the internal structure strength reaches 0.74Mpa, the water absorption thickness expansion rate is less than 3%, and the water content is about 5%).

4. The medium density fiberboard is more delicate than the ordinary chipboard, with smooth finish, no bulge and no layering, which can greatly reduce the use of materials. Medium density fiberboard is selected to mainly detect formaldehyde emission and structural strength. Medium density fiberboard is divided into E1, E2 and E0 according to formaldehyde emission. Formaldehyde emission generally does not exceed 30mg/100g and is regarded as qualified. In piano production, E1 and E0 are used. 

5. Common materials include pine, poplar, eucalyptus, etc. In China, MDF is already a good material for furniture manufacturing and home decoration.

Advantages of MDF:

The surface of the density board is smooth and flat, the material is fine and dense, the performance is stable, the edge is firm, and the decorative property of the board surface is good. However, the moisture resistance of the density board is poor. In contrast, the nail holding force of the density board is worse than that of the chipboard. If the screws become loose after being tightened, it is difficult to fix the density board again because of its low strength.

1. The density board is easy to finish. All kinds of coatings and paints can be evenly applied on the density board, which is the preferred substrate for paint effect.

2. Density board is also a beautiful decorative board.

3. All kinds of wood veneer, adhesive tape film, decorative panel, light metal sheet, melamine board and other materials can be pasted on the surface of the density board.

4. The hard density board can also be made into sound absorption board after punching and drilling, and can be used in the decoration engineering of buildings.

5. Excellent physical performance, uniform material, no dehydration problem.

Purchasing skills of medium density board:

1).Environment protection

According to national standards, density boards can be divided into E1 and E2 according to their free formaldehyde content. The emission of E2 formaldehyde is ≤ 5mg/L; E1 formaldehyde emission is ≤ 1.5mg/L, which can be directly used for indoor decoration. When purchasing density boards, consumers should try to buy products with low formaldehyde emission, which are safer.

The blue pore size ranges from 0.27 nm to 0.98 nm, showing crystal arrangement. At the same time, it has weak electricity. The molecular diameters of formaldehyde, ammonia, benzene, toluene and xylene are all between 0.4 and 0.62 nm, and they are polar molecules. It has the characteristics of preferentially adsorbing harmful gases such as formaldehyde, benzene and TVOC, so as to achieve the effect of purifying indoor air.

2).Quality

Surface cleanliness: the surface of the density board with good surface cleanliness shall be free of obvious particles. Particles are caused by impurities brought in during the pressing process, which not only affects the appearance, but also makes the paint film easy to peel off.

Surface smoothness: when touching the surface with hands, it should feel smooth. If it feels astringent, it means that the processing is not in place.

Surface flatness: the surface of the density board should be bright and flat. If the surface is not flat from the side, it indicates that there is a problem with the material or coating process.

Overall elasticity: the hard boards must be inferior products.
